Bar Boulud, London

A frugal way of experiencing Michelin starred restaurants in an expensive city like London is to go dine at lunch on a weekday. The menu usually has 3 courses, starter, entree and dessert. This will most probably set you back $60 per person including wine, tax and tip. It’s a bargain compared to the dinner option at almost $200 per person.

Aside from being a well known restaurant brand in the US, I decided to go to Bar Boulud due to it’s proximity to Harrod’s as well as it’s proximity to an underground station to meet colleagues at Hatton Garden after work.

Bar Boulud did not disappoint. The service and food were impeccable from start to finish.

Mental note: the bar area is cool and a good place to meet up with friends on my next trip. It’s actually for my benefit. I like to eat a bit of something before moving on to a pub for the remainder of the night. British people do not eat while they drink.

I like to napkin. It’s big and bold and proud. It’s screams, it’s expensive to dine here !!
