This year’s Philadelphia Feastival literally reached new heights. The entire pier was transformed into a performance stage with scaffoldings. Upon entering, performers were dancing to jazz tunes twelve feet from the ground. Even Governor Rendell climbed on top of the scaffold to kick off the live auction.

Notable Bites:

There were a lot of sophisticated plates from the different talented chefs at the event. However, what stood out for me were from these two restaurants.

1. Le Virtu – Chef Joe Cicala brought the most moist and juicy pork roast. The skin was crackling crispy. It was truly a delicious work of art.

2. Verdad – The giant paella pan was a show stopper. But, what really got me was the tasty paella.
