Green Eggs Cafe, Philadelphia
I love the name of this restaurant. You know that something delicious is waiting for you.
I recently discovered that Green Eggs Cafe has an outpost in Center City. I had always wanted to try their brunch menu but their locations in Fishtown and Bella Vista are a bit of a trek from my place.
What caught my attention was the pork belly benedict. It’s really a breakfast platter made up of two 1 x 1 inch square of pork belly chunks seared in maple syrup, two brioche topped with eggs benedict and potato hash. I was surprised at how inexpensive it was. It’s everything I wanted for breakfast, there’s the sweetness and the savory in perfect harmony.
I’ll visit again in a month and try the red velvet pancakes. I’m sure it’s heavenly.
