How do I justify eating a $20 bowl of ramen?
It’s all about the flavor of the broth – rich and bold. And, Ippudo makes the best broth.
The add-ons like the soft boiled egg, slices of kakuni and the chewy ramen plus the sprinkles of sesame seeds make the ramen a hearty meal.
Going to Ippudo takes me back to Shinjuku Station in Tokyo where a ramen ticket can be bought via vending machine and presented to the counter person sitting next to an open kitchen with large vats of boiling broth spewing off steam.
