Quick Bite @ Nyonya, NYC
CLOCKWISE FROM TOP: (1) Signs of summer. (2) Roti Canai. (3) Hokkien Char Mee.
Stopped in for some comfort food at Nyonya after an hour of weekend shopping for protein from my favorite chinatown meat shops. I ordered the roti canai to get those Malaysian flavors and spicies going in my mouth. But, what I was really waiting for was the Hokkien Char Mee. It’s a plate of big chewy egg noodles stir fried in soy sauce with pork – greasy but is so good.
