Monk’s Cafe, Philadelphia

Monk’s Cafe is not a cafe but a gastro pub focused on Belgian beer. I stopped by after work because the shuttle to Center City from Spring Garden has a stop on Walnut Street a block away. And, it’s on the way to the nail place for my monthly summer mani pedi.
 
This is the first time I’ve been in a pub in the summer. My gosh, the smell of sweaty people is horrible. If not for the food here, I would have left in a heart beat.
 
I highly recommend the sour ale with the grilled scallops. Exquisite !!
