Dinner @ Amada, Philadelphia
Dinner with visiting friends from NYC was a great treat after living in Philadelphia for a few months now. My friends did some research and had chosen Amada, a restaurant owned by Iron Chef Jose Garces in South Philly.
I just had to order the Tinto Sangria – Spiced Red Wine with Orange,
Apple & Cinnamon. It’s just how I like it, sweet and fruity with a kick. We opted for the La Mesa de Jose, a chef’s selection of tapas for the entire table. It was the best choice. I got to taste a wide selection of different spanish delicacies.
My favorites were: (1) PULPO A LA GALLEGA – Spanish Octopus (2) ENSALADA DE JAMÓN – Serrano Ham & Fig Salad, Cabrales & Spiced Almonds (3) LEMON TORTA, for dessert – Bilberry Jam, Lemon Confit, Lemon-Thyme Honey & Bilberry-Swirl Ice Cream.
